Capitalism v. Communism
Money Makes the World Go Round! And Round... And Round...There is a lot of confusion over why Capitalism is superior to Communism. I've begun the argument by posting here http://forums.secondlife.com/showthread.php?t=112281 in the SecondLife forums.

Let me be frank:
I don't care about your personal financial sitaution. I don't care if you are working three jobs to make ends meet. I don't care about your goals in life. I don't care if you're married, divorced, gay, or seperated. I don't care where you live. I don't care if you have medical coverage.
You're beginning to get the idea. In a Capitalist society, its every person (or group) for themselves. We are not encumbered by responsibility to those who we don't care about. "Charity" becomes a personal choice of who and how much to support. A personal decision made by every person.
You may think I'm being harsh, but in reality I'm not. Be honest with yourself. You don't REALLY care about people outside your sphere of influence and yet under many current economic systems you are forced to subsidize their problems. Its simply not fair.
Thats why true Capitalism wins. It allows the individual to decide what matters to them and what does not. It allows for the quick elimination of unacceptable handicaps through personal action.
Communism fails because under that system everyone is responsible for "the public good" whether or not they support those aims.
Thats why Capitalism wins.

See, most people, when they have no idea what the f*ck they're talking about, well - they just give up.
But you... you have the courage to go on running your mouth, even when what's coming out of it is total f*cking nonsense.

You are right in that capitalism is the exercise of having no responsibility towards your fellow man. But what does that say about the ethics of capitalists?
Capitalism is based on the ideology of paying low wages to further personal profit. This system is there for abusive to the vast majority of people: the working class. Capitalism goes beyond abusive to downright barbaric in its treatment of those who are most marginalized and unable to work: the handicapped, Mothers with dependent children and the elderly.
You write a blog propagating this system, just where are your ethics? Are you saying it is superior to not give a shit about anyone but yourself? Are you seriously reveling in your lack of compassion for your fellow species?
"Not fair" is the capitalist hierarchy of power we have now has 12% of the world's population owning 80% of the world's wealth. The MAJORITY of the human population is starving RIGHT NOW, the majority of which are children under the age of five; all so you can support your glutony, THATS "not fair". Stop justifying your pigotry and understand the world does NOT only resolve around you.
The title of human being is reserved for those who are in the state of being humane... Do you qualify? From your apathetic comments and how flippantly you treat the severe misery of innocent children I have a hard time believing you do.

if you put it that way capitalism can be just as bad as communism if not worst.
truth be told both extremes are bad the best system is going some where in the middle. A place where I can be free to make money but has social programs to help people.
I guess that makes me a capitalistic commie.
